Only agency dinosaurs will be left in the office, eXp boss claims

The next generation of estate agents won’t be going to the office in 10 years, the founder of eXp World Holdings Glenn Sanford has predicted.

Speaking about the shift to technology and remote working, Sanford said the new generation of agents are mobile and it will only be dinosaurs left in the office.

He said: “The next generation knows what they want and are totally mobile and will work when and where they want to.”

His comments came in the latest episode of the Two Russells podcast.

Russell Quirk and Jervis interviewed all of the top team at eXp Realty US together with UK boss Adam Day, whilst on a whistle-stop tour of the UK.

They were joined on 11 June by Sanford, Leo Pareja, chief executive of eXp Realty, Michael Valdes, chief growth officer of eXp Realty and Day.

The four answered a range of questions around eXp’s scale - agents, global revenue, country presence and market capitalisation, as listed on the NASDAQ.

Day also addressed how much eXp UK agents are making, revealing that they are “earning significantly more and working less” with more than 100 people on at least a £30,000 pipeline and £100,000 of gross commission.

Sounds great. I’m sure all their clients will love that their agent picks and chooses when and where they are working. Bear in mind that dinosaurs were the apex predators for 130m years.

So untrue.....having an office on a busy high street will ALWAYS attract clients.

I've been out of the high street office for 12 years now. The only people who came in were surveyors collecting keys, buyers collecting keys (because meeting at the house wasn't a thing) and dare I say it, nosey parkers picking up a property post! High street is a cost agents don't need, and 4 walls a person doesn't need to be looking at during quiet times.
